A family owned and operated business in its own right, Local Celebrity tees are printed on ultra-premium fabrics and made entirely from scratch- that is, cut, sewn and printed- in LA's Skid Row. Inspired by the youthful vitality of the die-hard music fans at Cornerstone festival back in 2003, attending Local Celebrity founders were suddenly seized by a startling epiphany: "Let’s ditch our jobs and start a t-shirt company!" And that's exactly what they did. The first step required uprooting and driving down to grandma's ranch in San Diego to set up shop. This was then followed by several creative brainstorming sessions regarding prints and catchphrases (and nearly a dozen encouraging high-fives), and was finally topped off with the purchase of a ridiculously expensive printing machine. However, it wasn't too long before the operation outgrew the resources at the ranch, and another move was necessary; this time to LA's ever-glamorous Skid Row, which currently remains Local Celebrity's headquarters.

Unlike many other t-shirt companies, Local Celebrity doesn't buy pre-produced, mid-grade t-shirts like those by American Apparel or Hanes,. "We buy our own ultra-premium fabrics, then cut & sew our own custom t-shirts, creating the perfect canvas for our designs! You'll notice the difference as soon as you see and feel them...you'll especially notice the difference when you're getting "snapped" all over town" as in "Oh snap!! Where’d you get that shirt!?"

With a huge cult-like following behind them, it's hardly surprising that Local Celebrity is sold at some of the coolest and trendiest stores in the U.S, and has been embraced by big name celebs like Megan Fox, Seth Rogan, Paris Hilton, Halle Berry, Pete Wentz, and Justin Long.
