Chicago-born rapper Common has a lot on his plate these days with the release of his recent album “Universal Mind Control” and with his upcoming summer blockbuster Terminator: Salvation; so it only figures that he would be extra-motivated, and start a book club for high school students. Called “The Corner”, the club is an interactive website, and was designed to help 8th to 12th graders understand the power of literacy.
Common was recently spotted out and about sporting the Hard 8 Buddha studded tee. (Check it out on Luello here.) Hard 8 continues it’s line of trendy musically-inspired apparel this spring, so go for something different than the ubiquitous graphic tee.

UFC 97 features UFC middleweight champion Anderson “The Spider” Silva, who is out to defend his crown against number one contender Thales Leites in the main event. Also featured in the UFC’s return to Montreal is the light heavyweight showdown that MMA fans have waited for years to see, as legendary Chuck “The Iceman” Liddell squares off against Brazilian Mauricio “Shogun” Rua in what promises to be one of the fiercest match ups of 2009. Did you see Rashad Evans get into the ring after Quinton “Rampage” Jackson beat Keith Jardine in UFC 96? The two MMA fighters circled each other for a few moments, before Jackson declared that he would get his light heavyweight belt back- issuing the challenge to Evans, the current title holder.
