cameron diaz, J Brand, premium women's denim
Posted on May 13th, 2011
Why Cameron Diaz is oversmiling so much in this picture, I cannot tell you.
Perhaps it’s because she was photographed here while at a press junket for her movie “The Green Hornet”.
Maybe it’s because at the time when this was taken Cameron had no idea how much this movie would flop.
It could be because she’s remembering the good times circa 2003-2006 when she was both culturally relevant and involved with Justin Timberlake.
Any number of these things could be viable explanations for why Cameron’s smiling so much.
But it’s probably because she’s wearing denim by J Brand.

Alexa Chung, Blank NYC, Fashion Blog, J Brand, Miranda Kerr, Miss Likey, William Rast
Posted on May 13th, 2011The following was a guest post written by Nina of the lovely style blog Miss Likey!
I don’t know exactly when wearing blouses became my passion. It was probably a grown-up style thing when you realize that your garments should be practical, apart from being hip. Blouses are really great friends for girls that equally care about practicality and chic. They give feminine and polished looks and are also great choice for all girls that work and have to stay fresh in these warm days. Here are my favorite ways of wearing a blouse with your best denim!
Skinnies + Blouse
Combination of black skinny pants, a blouse and ballet flats is simply an iconic look. It’s refined, stylish and casual. When you are thinking too much on certain days about what to wear, just make things simple, pick a skinny jeans and the blouse, like Miranda Kerr did below.
Flared jeans + Blouse
Flared jeans and the blouse is another combination that can make you irresistible in only a few seconds. Tuck your blouse into your wide leg pants, throw a cardigan over your shoulders and you will feel nonchalant like some 70s film star. Keep in mind this look by stylist Valentine Fillol- Cordier.
Jean Shorts + Blouse
An outfit of jean shorts and a blouse is sometimes perfect for summer nights. Especially when the blouse has long sleeves. Don’t you think that the idea of nude legs and long sleeves is simply adorable? Put on your cropped boyfriend jean and have in mind this look by Alexa Chung.

Cheryl Cole, J Brand, women's premium denim, X Factor USA
Posted on May 13th, 2011Little did we know when we posted this blog not too long ago, Cheryl Cole of the British version of Simon Cowell’s The X Factor has been announced as one of the judges on the show’s American incarnation!
She’ll sit on the judging panel alongside Simon himself, record executive Antonio “LA” Reid and none other than Paula Abdul, who was unceremoniously ousted from American Idol a few seasons back. Why Paula’s been invited to judge the X Factor is beyond me, but it should be entertaining nonetheless.
Here’s Chery Cole, who’s soon to be a household name in North America, looking lovely in denim by J Brand!

The Huffington Post assembled an interesting gallery of superstitions that countries from around the world were inspired to follow by their distrust of the number 13.
Here’s hoping no Luello readers are brutally murdered, get lost in the Bermuda triangle, or are subjected to any other sort of Final Destination-like unpleasantness today.

In France, socialites called quatorziens (fourteeners) make themselves available as 14th guests to keep a dinner party from an unlucky fate.

If you have 13 letters in your name, you're said to have the devil's luck. Like, this guy (Charles Manson).

Traditionally in hangings, there are 13 knots in the noose and 13 steps leading up to the moment of death.

American Idol, James Durbin, Lady Gaga, ROAR Clothing

James Durbin in ROAR
James Durbin, the 22-year old formerly unemployed father, said that before American Idol, he and his fiancee couldn’t afford diapers for their son. Times have since changed, and it looks like James can afford designer apparel by Roar Clothing! He wore a classic button-down shirt by the brand on a past episode of Idol.
Durbin has been a front-runner in this season of American Idol from the very beginning. His Adam Lambert-esque style and extraordinarily large ears managed to capture the hearts and attention of the show’s audience. However, his performances last week were low-notes in his Idol career. He performed 30 Seconds To Mars’ “Closer to the Edge” and Badfinger’s “Without You”, both of which were deemed weak by the judges.
This week the final four will be mentored by Mother Monster and James will undoubtedly be praying that he makes it to the top three. Watch the video below to see his performance of “Without You” from last week’s episode.

Denim, J Brand, Katie Holmes, Scientology

Katie Holmes in J Brand denim

Katie Holmes in J Brand denim
One of the more popular divisions of “celebrity-watching” by the media today is “baby-bump-watching”. This is when observers of Hollywood’s elite scrutinize pictures of skinny, presumably pregnant ladies who in all probability probably just had a big lunch (or ate for the first time in months, resulting in their body’s confusion and consequently protruding stomachs).
This picture of Katie Holmes shopping in Barneys (while wearing J Brand denim!) prompted all manner of pregnancy rumors. However, whether or not she’s got a fetus inside her is not what concerns me with this picture. Rather, it’s her incredibly haggard appearance and her look of absent-minded terror that’s got me wondering if the Scientologists attempted to clear Katie’s thetan one too many times. She either looks brainwashed, or as if she’s attempting to quickly formulate a plan to finally escape from Tom Cruise’s diminutive clutches.
Pray for Katie Holmes, and shop Luello for more J Brand denim.

Cheryl Cole, The X Factor, William Rast

Cheryl Cole in William Rast denim
For those of you who don’t know, Chery Cole is huuuuge in the United Kingdom. Her girl group Girls Aloud was basically the Spice Girls of the last five to ten years, and Cheryl was the bonafide breakout star of the group. She’s also a judge on Simon Cowell’s “The X Factor”, the American Idol of the U.K. and is considered Britain’s sweetheart.
Rumor has it that she’ll also be a judge on the soon-to-be-launched American incarnation of “The X Factor”. If she does end up judging the show, hopefully she’ll bring some more winning style to the judging panel as she did here, dressed in denim by William Rast!

Graphic Tee, Local Celebrity, Paris Hilton
Posted on May 9th, 2011WHY DOES PARIS HILTON ALWAYS HAVE TO MATCH EVERYTHING?
No matter what she is wearing, every item on her person will without fail be the exact same color. IT IS NOT NECESSARY.
Your baby blue velour track pants do not need to be matched with a baby blue tee and baby blue sunglasses and a baby blue clutch and baby blue cellphone. Like your existence, Paris Hilton, it’s overkill and exhausting.
On a brighter note, the tee she is seen wearing in this picture is by Luello’s own Local Celebrity. At least there is one part of this outfit that is not terribly upsetting.
