Michael Jackson Laid To Rest

Never in recent history has a celebrity’s passing incited such a media frenzy and incredible personal grief for millions of fans. He created as much a stir in death as his did in his life ridden with controversy, which just goes to show that Michael Jackson really was and is the ultimate celebrity personality. Today is the day that he will finally be laid to rest, first at a private service for family and friends, and then in true Jackson over-the-top style, his casket will be transported to the Staples Center in Los Angeles for a public memorial. Over 17,500 devoted fans will get to say goodbye to the King of Pop and watch performances and appearances by Jennifer Hudson, Usher, Stevie Wonder, John Mayer, Mariah Carey, Lionel Richie, Rev. Al Sharpton and many more.

Despite a tumultuous life (to say the least) hopefully Michael Jackson has found peace in death. Although, with every media outlet constantly deciphering every detail of his life and untimely death, those of us still living are no doubt going to continue hearing about it for a long time.
