Jon Jones Visits Luello
Jon Jones, who at 22 is the youngest UFC fighter to date, stopped by Luello’s offices to pick up some gear recently. Jones is about to compete in his last of a 4-fight contract in UFC: Heavyweight Finale. The light-heavyweight is 3-0 (1 submission, 2 unanimous decisions) and is looking to go undefeated in his short UFC career. Jones faces his toughest opponent yet in Matt Hamill (9-2), who has a few more years of experience on him (but less knees!) both are considered tough boxers and untraditional strikers.
Now- the man is BIG (6″4, 205 lbs), but Jones comes off as a polite, fun-loving guy who is proud of his young family and wants to bring home his next win. Jones is considered a possibility to be “the next” light-heavyweight, with his unorthodox style of fighting . He speaks confidently of his skills against Hamill, but is also excited about fighting in Vegas. We like Jones, he’s smooth and stylish and he loves Montreal. Jones trained here for the past while at Tristar (same as GSP) but is now moving to New Mexico where he will train at Greg Jackson’s gym.
Jones’ fun side showed up when we started taking pictures (see if you can tell which shots Jones’ directed himself.) Jones’ definitely has an eye for fashion, he was quick to pick out a few pairs of Rock Revival jeans and some Remetee tees. He also grabbed a Roar shirt for dressier occasions- I think had he had time, Jones would have modeled every top on our site… better stick to the UFC Jon!
